So yesterday I went on an awesome VA excursion and saw a couple of art galleries in the city.

WE WENT AND SAW ARTEXPRESS! :D
So many talented Year 12s...
I saw a work that actually showed the Tamil Tigers flag, and I was laughing to myself because I was the only person in my group that recognised it. [As far as I know, anyway... But it's not like everyone knows that there was a civil war in Sri Lanka.]

They also showed us a place called 2 Danks Street, where it's basically a place with numerous galleries inside. I thought it was really exciting to discover all these new awesome places to visit. :D

Plus there was an epic cafe called The French House with relatively cheap/yummy food. A friend and I wanted to buy a small strawberry tart, but there wasn't enough time. :( One day...

So yeah.

AND THEN, IN THE EVENING.. I went to the Brain Art Exhibition & Unconference Launch Party!
It was pretty awesome. There was a bit of a dilemma a few days before with the size [Because it was 30.5 x 30.5cm ... which was way too small, but they asked me to make it bigger, so I made it 120 x 120cm.. :D], and I actually hadn't seen the image in the larger size, so to see it on the wall was quite exciting and nerve-racking.
[You have to be quite confident to be an artist, I think. To make something and show the world and not feel embarassed for some reason.]

My mum really wanted to take a photo of me with the work, so I have about 2 or 3 on my camera. :D She's really cool. Her and I were pretending to be drunk when we were walking back to the car. :icontee-heeplz:

There were so many amazing works there.. I wish I could show you, but I guess you'll have to head down to their Open Day this Saturday [5th March] at the Global Gallery to see it for free. :D More info here: [link]

And it's back to normal life... For the moment. I'll be going to their fundraising night on the Friday. And they may potentially text me if I win an award.

BUT I HAVE:
- 3 Essays due next week, and
- A maths test on Monday, and
- Maths homework I should really catch up on.

And yes, we do need to collab.
I wanted to hire you (WITH MONEYS) last year, and I'd still like to do that for maybe next holidays. But I dont have a clear-cut concept yet.. Its just all floating.. But I've seen some AWESOME shoots with umbrellas :P

And :icondafoose: , who did the line-art of our last one wants to do another collab lineart with :iconm-alicesayshello: , but they want something colourful, but still landscape. So maybe we could do that, as well as what I want to hire you for, in some sort of magic conceptual masterpiece :P
